I launched my Edge browser today and at the top right of the screen was "Copilot Discover Preview" instead of the temperature which is what I prefer. How do I get rid of this and get my temperature back and why does my home page get changed without my changing ? Turning the Copilot Preview off does not get rid of it.

G J 20 Reputation points2025-12-18T06:22:20.7866667+00:00 I have the same issue. I had originally removed anything related to "Copilot" from my Windows 10 earlier in the year. Now this shows up. I guess we will have to wait for someone other than the 2 AI-generated answers.
As for Kimberly's answer, it doesn't work because mine is already toggled "Off", including the Content Off.

Cathy Sipes 5 Reputation points2025-12-29T21:47:31.94+00:00 I found a Google extension which opens a blank page in Edge. It called Custom new tab. Once it's downloaded, it will add https://google on the settings start home page in the box set custom site. It will go down on the page to the new tab page and turn off copilot and preload new tab page. I have had to go back and do it again after an update to Edge. I didn't want anything on the page. I'm getting temperature from the widget on my Taskbar.
