Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
Hi @Cory Yundt,
Thank you for your question.
Based on Microsoft's current feature comparison documentation, not all capabilities from Outlook Classic are available in New Outlook yet, and some features are still being evaluated or added over time. The feature parity between the two clients continues to evolve.
To better understand your scenario, could you provide a few more details?
- Which specific custom views are critical to your business workflows?
- Are you currently using user-defined/custom fields in mail folders, contacts, tasks, or another Outlook item type?
- Do these custom fields support reporting, workflow tracking, or another business process?
- Are you primarily concerned about custom sorting/grouping, custom columns, or the ability to create entirely new views?
The more details you can share about how these features are used today, the easier it will be to identify available alternatives in New Outlook or determine whether the missing functionality is currently on Microsoft's roadmap.
Thank you again for your time and understanding. I really appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. Looking forward to your response.
