Hello. If Settings > System > Activation shows Windows 11 as activated, losing access to the Microsoft account won’t suddenly deactivate Windows. The digital license is tied to the device hardware.
However, if it says “Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account,” that account may be important if you ever need to reactivate Windows after a major hardware change, especially a motherboard replacement.
For Office, the Microsoft account matters more. Retail versions of Office 2016 and newer are usually tied to the account used to purchase or redeem the license, and you may need that account to reinstall or reactivate Office.
Open Word or Excel > File > Account and look under Product Information > Belongs to.
Are you currently logged into your computer with those credentials, or are you just checking them?
