Hello,

My Microsoft account was hacked, and the attacker changed my password and replaced my recovery email with an email address that belongs to them. Because of this, I cannot receive verification codes or access my account.

Is there a way for me to speak with a real Microsoft support representative who can help verify that I am the original owner of the account and assist me in recovering it? If so, what is the best way to reach someone who can help with this situation?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

    Hello,

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your time and the information you provided.

I did complete the account recovery form you linked, but unfortunately Microsoft Support responded that they were unable to locate an account associated with my email address and closed my service request.

My concern is that my Microsoft account was compromised, and I believe the attacker changed the email address and security information associated with the account. Because of that, the recovery form may not be able to locate my original account.

Is there any other recovery option available, or is there a specific Microsoft team that handles cases where a hacker has changed the account's email and security information?

Thank you again for your help.

I’m sorry you’re going through this issue with your account. In this case, Microsoft support agents are not able to make changes to account information, such as adding or removing details, because those protections are in place to help keep your account private and secure. I understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and I truly appreciate your patience.

The best next step is to complete the account recovery form here: https://aka.ms/recovermyaccount

Once you submit it, your request will be reviewed by the team that handles account recovery situations like this. They will reach out to you by email with the next steps or let you know if they need any additional information to continue helping you.
