How to add the Windows 11 25H2 update (KB5054156) into WSUS

I've been asked to add the KB that triggers Windows 11 to update to 25H2 from 24H2 to our WSUS server but based on https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/servicing/os/windows/docs/2025/02/kb5054156-feature-update-to-windows-11-version-25h2-by-using-an-enablement-package - I do not have the exact feature name in my list of available updates for downloading. The closest I have is 'Windows 11 client, version 25H2 and later, Upgrade & Servicing Drivers' - is that what I should select?

Khairy Zhafran H. Kastella 80 Reputation points2026-07-21T07:51:27.7433333+00:00 The update you are looking for (KB5054156 – Windows 11 version 25H2 enablement package) is not the same as "Windows 11 client, version 25H2 and later, Upgrade & Servicing Drivers".
The Upgrade & Servicing Drivers classification is for driver content and is not the enablement package that upgrades Windows 11 24H2 to 25H2.
For WSUS, check the following:
- Verify WSUS products and classifications
In WSUS Administration Console:
- Go to:
Options → Products and Classifications - Ensure these are selected:
- Windows 11
- Windows 11, version 25H2 and later
- Upgrades
- Security Updates
- Updates
- Go to:
- Run a synchronization
After changing the product/classification selections:
Options → Synchronization Schedule → Synchronize Now - Search for the update
In WSUS:
Search for:Updates → All Updates
or:KB5054156Feature Update to Windows 11, version 25H2 - Confirm WSUS version compatibility Make sure the WSUS server is fully patched and running on a supported Windows Server version. Some newer Windows 11 feature updates require the latest servicing stack and WSUS updates before they appear.
If KB5054156 still does not appear after synchronization, it may be because Microsoft has not published it to the WSUS channel for your selected products yet, or your environment is using Windows Update for Business policies/Intune, which can supersede WSUS feature update management.
Do not approve the "Upgrade & Servicing Drivers" item for this purpose; it will not perform the 24H2 → 25H2 enablement upgrade.

2026-07-21T10:10:39.16+00:00 As per step 1 above, everything but 'Windows 11, version 25H2 and later' is selected - it is not present as a product in the WSUS management console. I would have expected to see it as the 'upgrade & servicing drivers' are present for both 25H2 and 26H1. If I search for the KB it is not present.
Server is patched monthly with both servicing stack and monthly CUs - we do not use Windows update for Business or Intune for servers. Note that the WSUS server is Windows 2016
