I have several MS Authenticators, but all are more than 1 year old. I need a current one.

Microsoft Authenticator versions older than one year are no longer supported and must be updated to continue working.

To update to a current version:

    1. On each device that has an old Microsoft Authenticator app installed, open the platform’s app store:
      • iOS: Apple App Store
      • Android: Google Play Store
    2. Search for Microsoft Authenticator.
    3. Select the app and choose Update.
      • If Update is not available, uninstall the old app and then reinstall it from the store.
    4. After installation, open Authenticator and ensure App updates is turned on in Settings so it stays current.

If any device cannot install a modern version (for example, because the OS is too old), Authenticator on that device will not be supported and cannot be used; use another supported device instead.
