Identity validation for Azure Trusted Signing fails when presenting Verified ID

I'm trying to complete public organization identity verification for Azure Trusted Signing.

In my latest validation attempt, after submitting my Verified ID, I got the following error:

“Error: Face Check failed. We could not verify your identity. Please confirm you are presenting your own Verified ID and return to Artifact Signing to try again.”

My email is the primary email submitted for this verification request. I used the same Verified ID in a prior validation attempt, and that attempt passed the Verified ID step (even though it didn't allow me to submit additional documents afterward).

I need to understand why the latest attempt is failing at Face Check and what the correct next step is.

The Face Check failure usually happens due to a mismatch between your live selfie and the biometric data in the Verified ID (e.g., lighting, camera quality, facial positioning, or using a different device/browser), even if the same ID worked before; retry the verification in good lighting with a clear front-facing camera, ensure you’re using your own Verified ID on the same Microsoft account/email, and if it continues to fail, reset the verification flow or open a support ticket with Azure Trusted Signing to re-initiate the identity validation.
