Additional meeting and call-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hi @Elsa Carvalho,
Based on your inquiry, to better assist you, could you please clarify your specific goal?
- If your goal is to take shared meeting notes, you can use Collaborative Notes in Teams, which are powered by Microsoft Loop.
- If your goal is to have Teams automatically generate AI-based meeting notes or summaries, that is handled through Facilitator in Teams, not by Loop alone.
I will outline each method below, and you may choose the one that best fits your scenario:
Method 1: Collaborative notes in Teams
- Open the meeting from Teams > Calendar, then use Notes either before or during the meeting.
- All meeting participants can add agenda items, co-author notes, and track follow-up tasks in this shared notes experience.
Method 2: AI-generated notes and summaries
- If you want AI-generated notes or summaries, users need to meet the requirements for Facilitator.
- This includes an eligible Microsoft 365 base license, an eligible Teams license, a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, and Loop experiences in Teams being enabled.
-
If you are the admin, I recommend checking that Facilitator is allowed in the Teams admin center under Teams apps > Manage apps and confirming that Loop experiences in Teams are turned on.
Please also note that Microsoft says Facilitator data in meetings is stored as a .loop file in the Meetings folder in the OneDrive of the user who initiated Facilitator.
