Hello, I’m Virginia a fellow Windows user.

Can you access the Microsoft account or is it just your PSN account which is the problem?

If you’ve forgotten your MS account details then you’ll either require the reset password option or account recovery.

    Can’t sign in:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/you-can-t-sign-in-to-your-microsoft-account-475c9b5c-8c25-49f1-9c2d-c64b7072e735

You can try also https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact & type Account Recovery in the box, then choose the Contact Support tab above & select Windows, then recovery from the drop down menus.

If none of the above work then you’ll require the account recovery form:

    https://account.live.com/acsr

If it has been two years since you accessed the account then most likely it’ll have been deleted.

Unfortunately you’ll need access to your PS account in order to unlink the account. You could try contacting Sony/PS support to see if they can do anything.

Unlinking a PlayStation Network (PSN) account from a Microsoft account for Minecraft cannot be done directly from the Microsoft side if there is no access to the original PSN console/account that was linked.

From the available guidance, the practical options are:

    1. Recover access to the original Microsoft account
If Minecraft on PS4/PS5 is refusing to connect or behaving unexpectedly after account changes, resetting the password on the linked Microsoft account can force a refresh of the connection and allow sign‑in again:
      • Go to the Microsoft account sign‑in page and reset the password for the Microsoft account that was originally linked to Minecraft on PS4.
      • After the password reset, try signing in again on the PS5 with that same Microsoft account in Minecraft.
This approach has resolved similar “refuses to connect” issues after unlinking/incorrect linking.
    2. Use official account‑recovery and support flows if the Microsoft account is compromised or inaccessible
If access to the Microsoft account itself is lost (for example, hacked or security info changed), only the official recovery and security flows can be used:
      • Follow the hacked/compromised account guidance and recovery form from Microsoft Support to try to regain access to the Microsoft account.
      • If recovery fails, Microsoft Support cannot manually override or unlink accounts.
    3. Contact Minecraft Support about entitlements
If the Microsoft account cannot be recovered and unlinking from PSN is therefore impossible, Minecraft Support is the only channel that may be able to help with game entitlements (purchases, Minecoins, etc.) on a new account. They can review what options exist for your Minecraft purchases when the original Microsoft/PSN link cannot be restored.

There is no documented method in the provided material to remotely unlink a PSN account from a Microsoft account without access to the original linked environment; resolution depends on recovering or refreshing the Microsoft account sign‑in, or working with Minecraft Support about the game entitlements.
