    Hi Buckeroo Banzai,

Thank you for the detailed description, it really helps narrow things down. The pattern you're seeing (Junk arriving normally, but no Safe Sender mail reaching your Inbox for two days) is unusual and usually suggests something is quietly filtering or redirecting legitimate mail before it lands.

Could you kindly try the following:

    Step 1: Rule out a browser/session issue

Please open Outlook.com in a private/incognito window or a different browser. This rules out a cached session preventing your Inbox from refreshing properly.

Step 2: Confirm senders aren't bouncing

Could you ask one of your Safe Senders to send a fresh test, and let you know if they receive any bounce-back or non-delivery report (NDR)? If they do, please share the full bounce text here — it usually contains the exact reason the message didn't get through.

Once done, send yourself a quick test as well and let me know how it goes.

    Looking forward to your update.

Perform these checks and fixes in Outlook.com / Outlook on the web:

    1. Check Junk Email folder
    • Open the Junk Email folder and look for messages that should be in Inbox.
    • For each legitimate message, right‑click it and choose Mark as not junk (or Not junk > Not junk). This moves it to Inbox and trains the filter.
    1. Verify Safe senders and domains
    • At the top of the page, select Settings.
    • Select Mail > Junk email.
    • Under Safe senders and domains, confirm the expected addresses/domains are listed.
    • If needed, select Add safe sender, enter the email address or domain, select OK, then Save.
    • If any of those addresses/domains appear under Blocked senders, remove them.
    1. Check Junk handling and rules
    • In Settings > Mail > Junk email, review Incoming mail handling if available and ensure it is not set to an overly aggressive option that might be misrouting mail.
    • Check for any rules that might be moving messages out of Inbox (Settings > Mail > Rules) and disable or delete suspicious rules.
    1. Check other folders and filters
    • Make sure the Focused/Other view or other filters are not hiding messages. In Outlook.com, check both Focused and Other tabs.
    • In the message list, select Filter > Sort > Date to ensure messages are not just appearing out of order.
    1. If specific senders still do not arrive
    • Confirm with the sender that messages are actually being sent and not bouncing.
    • Ask them to review Sender Support in Outlook.com if they see no error.
    1. If nothing arrives except Junk
    • Review Junk Email settings and Junk Email folder as above.
    • If mail is being forwarded elsewhere, verify forwarding and whether keep a copy of forwarded emails (if configured) is enabled so copies remain in Outlook.com.

If the problem persists after these checks, use Outlook.com in a browser, select Help on the menu bar, describe the issue, and follow the prompts under Still need help? to reach support.
