Setting up future meetings with participants using Teams calendar or Outlook integration
Hi @Corp user,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the management of recurring meeting invitations.
Based on your inquiry, it is typically possible to modify an existing meeting series rather than issuing an entirely new invitation.
I have outlined the structured guidance for updating your schedule below.
- Navigate to the Teams Calendar and open the specific meeting.
- When prompted, choose to edit the all events rather than a single occurrence.
-
- Locate the recurrence settings and select the Scheduler monthly pattern.
- Set the meeting to repeat on the third Thursday of each month.
- Save the changes and send the update to all attendees.
Note: ensure you see this note when editing.
Additionally, should the custom recurrence options appear less intuitive within the Teams interface, Microsoft Outlook remains a robust alternative for these administrative tasks.
- Open the meeting series within the Outlook Calendar.
- Select Recurrence from the Filter applied.
- Choose and update the pattern to the third Thursday of the month.
- Finalize the process by selecting Save or Send Update.
Note: after you save and send the change, attendees will receive an update for the existing meeting series. This updates the current meeting series rather than requiring you to create a separate new meeting from scratch.
I hope this clears things up. If you have any additional questions or run into any issues, please send over some screenshots and I’ll be happy to help you further.
