I followed the below link to enable pre-authorised export links within an environment. After enabling we generated a new export however we do not see the option to get a download link. How long does this take to go into affect and can the link be shared with people outside the organisation?

    Hey Lewis
when you flip on the Enable export download via pre-authorized link toggle in the eDiscovery Settings, that change takes effect immediately, but only for exports you kick off after you hit Save. It doesn’t apply to any exports you already generated. So if you don’t see a download link, just:

    1. Go back into eDiscovery Settings > Export, make sure the pre-authorized link toggle is on and you’ve chosen an expiration window (1 hr, 6 hrs, 12 hrs, etc.), then hit Save.
    2. Create a brand-new export job. As soon as it’s ready, you’ll see the Pre-authorized link option on the Export Results page.

There’s no multi-hour rollout or background sync—once you’ve saved, any new export will present the link right away (give it a minute or two for the job to complete). And yes, that link is a bearer URL: anyone (inside or outside your org) who has it can download the package until it expires, so treat it like a secret and pick the shortest expiration that fits your needs.

    Hope that clears it up!
