Hello @Andreea Butnaru,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum and thank you for your question.
I understand you’re currently unable to sign in due to the error message: “The credential is invalid. Unexpected sub status (6008)”. This typically means your device is trying to authenticate using outdated or corrupted sign‑in information.
To resolve this, I recommend some steps below:
1. Sign Out from All Accounts
First, sign out of Microsoft Teams and any other Office apps currently signed in. Make sure Teams is completely closed and not running in the background.
2. Clear Teams Cache
Next, open File Explorer, paste the following path into the address bar, and delete all files and folders inside:
%localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy

This step removes old authentication tokens that may be causing the issue.
3. Remove Stored Credentials
- Open Windows Credential Manager: Press Windows Key + S, type Credential Manager, and open it.
- Go to Windows Credentials.
- Look for entries related to Microsoft 365, Office, or Teams.
- Remove those entries to clear old authentication tokens.

3. Disconnect and Reconnect Work/School Account
Go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school, disconnect your work or school account.
Finally, restart your computer and try signing in to Office app again.

To help minimize any disruption while we continue troubleshooting this issue, you may temporarily access your account by signing in at https://www.office.com/ and using Teams on the web.
This can allow you to continue sending and receiving emails normally while we work on resolving the issue you are experiencing with the Outlook app.
If you have any updates after trying these steps, please let me know so I can look for additional ways to assist you further.
Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
Kind regards,
