Hi, I am trying to play Minecraft with my son but it'll either refuse to let me join or it will let me join for 5 seconds then kick me out.
I have checked the privacy settings on both accounts and they both allow multiplayer.

I have also set up both of our accounts into a family on Microsoft to see if that will help but no.

Both the games are updated to latest version.

Before loading the world, the multiplayer settings on the game are correct. I have the error codes Terracotta and Door and neither error seems to indicate anything.
During the game the multiplayer settings are greyed out but nothing seems to block multiplayer in any of the privacy settings on his Microsoft/Xbox account.

IPad is host for game but the reverse also does this.

    Hello Ethan Palmer,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Before we proceed, may I have a photo of the error code you see so I can check for you? Also, can I have the photo of your Xbox privacy settings as well so I can understand it better? Please remember to remove all personal information before posting.

Additionally, can you or your son join others online world normally?

    I'm waiting for your reply.

This is my sons section on the family app and there’s no restrictions on anything.

its just my son and me in this family at the moment as I’m trying to figure out why we can’t join each other.

as for online safety section, I’ve tried previously with it set to everybody for those bits and that didn’t work and they are still set to everybody

we are all trying to connect using the same networkIMG_0794
