A unified data governance solution that helps manage, protect, and discover data across your organization
Hi PJ Johnson,
Unfortunately, once a Microsoft Purview account is deleted — especially as part of a Resource Group deletion — the Purview account itself cannot currently be restored through a native recovery or soft-delete process.
At this time, Microsoft Purview does not support account-level restore after deletion. If the resource group and associated Purview account were removed, the recommended approach is to recreate the Purview account and then reconnect/reconfigure the required data sources, scans, collections, and governance settings.
If backups or infrastructure-as-code templates (ARM/Bicep/Terraform) were previously used, those may help accelerate redeployment and configuration recovery.
If needed, please also verify whether any metadata exports, scan configurations, or lineage information were previously retained externally, as those may assist with rebuilding the environment more quickly.

Hope this helps. If you have any follow-up questions, please let me know. I would be happy to help.
