Real Madrid is planning to strengthen its midfield ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup by bringing back 20-year-old Argentine midfielder Nico Paz. The club sold him to Como last summer for €6 million but kept 50% of his rights and a buy-back clause.

Real Madrid will face Real Sociedad in their final La Liga match for this season. It will reportedly be the last game in charge for Carlo Ancelotti. Although it is not official yet, Los Blancos have already identified Xabi Alonso as the potential new manager to replace the Italian tactician.

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal said "only time will tell" if Xabi Alonso can "revert the situation" following the team's disappointing season.
