Golden and the Packers will begin the preseason in just a few months on Aug. 9 against the New York Jets. The former Longhorn star will make his regular-season debut in Green Bay's season opener against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 7. Many in Green Bay are looking forward to Golden's debut and what is in store for his NFL career.

The Packers signed Matthew Golden to his rookie deal, slotted at $17.55 million over four years. The Packers will have the option for a fifth year.
