For the third time in four years, BYU will play its 'third round' first at the NCAA Men's Golf Championships in Carlsbad, California.

Just Thursday, this PGA Championship appeared a major in name only, peculiar names weighing down its prestige, and leaderboard remaining stubbornly odd through Friday—Scottie Scheffler the lone Goliath swimming in a sea of Davids.

Collin Morikawa never got going at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, and he didn't hold back about his play after the tournament.

Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 player in the world, called mud balls one of the most frustrating issues a professional golfer can experience.

Those three names are all current holders of major championships. Scottie’s win at Quail Hollow may be his latest major, but ever since he won his second Masters early last year we have seen a run of serious names winning the game’s most coveted prizes.

Benedictine's Bear Dollander shot 10-under par to win the Class 4A state golf title, and Richmond Hill's Ledger Conley won the Class 6A title at 5-under par.
