NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Tuesday for the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms. Stay weather ready today with the risk of multiple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.
Severe weather will be possible Tuesday evening bringing the chance for all modes of severe weather to the Tennessee Valley.
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Storm Team 12 Weather Alert continues for the threat of some hail and high winds for south central and eastern Kansas. The potential of severe storms should end shortly after midnight, but some scattered storms may linger for the area even early Tuesday.
States like Kentucky, along with several that stretch from Texas to Iowa, remain at risk of severe conditions.
Heavy downpours and hail covered swaths of Middle Tennessee as strong storms blew through May 20, triggering severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings for multiple counties. At about 4:30 p.m., street cameras in Franklin showed heavy rainfall and large hail falling along Downs Boulevard and Highway 96.
