Wells Enterprises, the Iowa-based maker of Blue Bunny, is recalling thousands of tubs of ice cream, including ones made in Le Mars, Iowa.

Iowa-based Wells Enterprises, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall on over 17,000 tubs of ice cream products because they may contain plastic. The recall, initiated in April, affects products in 103 facilities around the country. Wells Enterprises owns brands including Blue Bunny, Halo Top, and Blue Ribbon.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Wells Enterprises, an ice cream manufacturer, is recalling nearly 18,000 tubs of ice cream because the products may contain plastic. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), 22 brands across the U.S. are being voluntarily recalled, including three in Texas.
