Samsung is the display maker for the Switch 2 and is reportedly pushing for a version of Nintendo's new console to come with an OLED screen, according to a report from Bloomberg on Tuesday. Samsung scored a major win for its foundry business by landing a contract to build custom processors for Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 gaming console. That’s according to a report from Bloomberg, which noted that processor job is a leg up for Samsung as it competes with TSMC in the chip foundry arena.

Nintendo hired Samsung to build the main chips for the Switch 2, including an 8-nanometer processor custom designed by NVIDIA, Bloomberg reported. That would mark a move by Nintendo away from TSMC, which manufactured the chipset for the original 2017 Switch.
