Fort Worth police and firefighters responded to a stabbing call late Thursday morning at South Hills Elementary School.

A stabbing involving two adults in the South Hill Elementary School parking lot disrupted the school's outdoor awards ceremony on Thursday morning. One person was taken to the hospital and one person was taken into custody.

One person is dead after an apparent gambling game Wednesday in Fort Worth, according to police. Officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 3800 block of Great Basin Lane, a news release from Fort Worth police said.

Officers initially responded to a report of shots fired at around 5:30 p.m. in the area of 3413 Creekwood Lane, according to an online police call log.

Police call logs showed that officers were called to a report of a stabbing at 3009 Bilglade Road in southwest Fort Worth.

A man was shot and killed, allegedly over a gambling dispute, outside an apartment complex in Fort Worth, police said.
