Coach Patty Gasso and the second-seeded OU softball team will host the 15th-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend in the NCAA super regionals. The Crimson Tide (40-21) took two of three games against the Sooners (48-7) in Tuscaloosa earlier this season.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC) - For a record setting 19th time, Alabama softball is moving on to NCAA Super Regionals. The Tide took down Virginia Tech 3-2 Sunday afternoon inside Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Alabama took a 3-0 lead into the 7th inning, but a VA Tech 2-run homerun got the Hookies to within one with just one out in the inning.
