Manchester United have held fresh talks over a move to sign Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, while Liverpool and Bayern Munich are the two clubs left battling it out to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz.

Amorim's side are also advancing on a move for Wolves' Matheus Cunha, with talks so far centring on personal terms.

Cunha's versatility as a centre-forward, a No.10 and even as a winger will, naturally, impress Ruben Amorim and his recruitment team. The Manchester Evening News understands Cunha is keen to move to Old Trafford regardless of whether or not United will play in the Champions League next season.
