As the latest round of Team Penske cheating allegations swirled through Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the president of the IndyCar team stood outside the garage to address the illegal modifications discovered on two of its cars.

Team Penske has been hit with hefty penalties after an IndyCar investigation into technical violations regarding modified attenuators on the No. 2 and 12 cars of Josef Newgarden and Will Power. After the investigations confirmed the technical infraction,

Arrow McLaren driver Pato O'Ward: “They weren't accidentally doing it, because they had the blowtorch right there in order to get it [the car] out [on track]. Honestly, I feel for [Jacob] Abel and for everybody that did the Last Chance qualifying. Those cars [Penske entries] weren't in regulations.
