Philadelphia Republican Party chair Vince Fenerty on Tuesday night said it appears that a last-minute write-in campaign by the city GOP has succeeded in electing Democrat Patrick Dugan as the Republican nominee for district attorney.

Philadelphia voters will decide between DA Larry Krasner and former judge Patrick Dugan in Tuesday's Pennsylvania primary.

More than 6,000 write-in votes for Pat Dugan in the Republican primary qualify him to run as a Republican for DA in November.
