Oscar Mayer’s iconic Wienermobile fleet will be “hot dogging" it later this week at the inaugural "Wienie 500."

Oscar Mayer’s Wienermobiles are racing at the Indianapolis Speedway in the "Wienie 500" because summer isn’t official until hot dogs hit the track.

Oscar Mayer notes that this is the first time the Wienermobiles have ever raced each other. The race will take place on “Carb Day,” which is the final day of practices before the Indy 500 and typically features a variety of fan-centric events.
