Samsung scored a major win for its foundry business by landing a contract to build custom processors for Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 gaming console. That’s according to a report from Bloomberg, which noted that processor job is a leg up for Samsung as it competes with TSMC in the chip foundry arena.

Bloomberg reported that Nintendo (OTC:NTDOY) has partnered with Samsung Electronics to produce a key processor chip for its upcoming Switch 2 gaming console. The gaming chip, designed by Nvidia Corp.

Nintendo has partnered with Samsung to produce the main chips for the Nintendo Switch 2, as part of its efforts to "strengthen" production to meet consumer
