Severe weather, including multiple tornadoes, was experienced in Colorado on Sunday, as hail, high winds and some rain swept the region.

A storm passing through the Denver metro could bring nickel-sized hail and high winds with it, according to a special weather statement from the National Weather Servic in Boulder.

Among those affected was David Griggs-Ortiz, a dispatcher who lives in Brush. His backyard was damaged when part of a tree fell onto the pool, delaying the family’s summer plans. The branch ripped part of the pool's foundation.
