President Donald Trump has said that Qatar is "donating" its Boeing 747 to the U.S. and not to him personally, as the fallout from the potential transaction continues. On Sunday, reports emerged that Trump was to accept the Boeing 747-8, which will be retrofitted with state-of-the-art security and communications to serve as Air Force One.

Families of some of the 346 people killed in two fatal Boeing 737 MAX crashes plan to object to a tentative nonprosecution agreement between the planemaker and the U.S. Justice Department, a lawyer said on Saturday.

The Justice Department advised families of victims of two 737 Max crashes that it was considering a plan to drop a previous agreement under which Boeing would have pleaded guilty.

Lawyers for the families who lost loved ones in the crashes of two 737 Max jets said the DOJ intends to drop all criminal charges against Boeing.

The US Justice Department told a federal judge in Texas it hasn’t decided whether to enter into an agreement with Boeing Co. that would drop a criminal charge related to two fatal 737 Max crashes, and that federal prosecutors are giving the families of victims another chance to weigh in.
