MLB insider Mark Feinsand suggested the Phillies pursue Jansen, a four-time All-Star with 456 career saves, in the coming weeks. The 37-year-old Jansen entered Tuesday with nine saves and a 5.02 ERA in 14.1 innings.

A Philadelphia Phillies trade idea has them acquiring New York Yankees reliever Devin Williams following Jose Alvarado's suspension.

Alvarado, soon to turn 30, had pitched to a 2.70 ERA (159 ERA+) and a 6.25 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 20 appearances. He had saved seven games, including in his most recent appearance against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday. For his career, he's in possession of a 123 ERA+.
