The IIT (BHU) achieved this milestone by securing the 531st position in the QS World University Ranking (WUR) 2025, marking its improved individual ranking.

“QS World University Rankings 2023 released on 8th June 2022 indicates that since 2014, IIT Guwahati has moved up at least 217 places from 601-650 range in 2014 to 384th in 2023.

IIT-Delhi has fallen 11 places from 182 in 2020 to 193 in 2021 in the QS ranking. Merely eight Indian institutes have got featured in the top 100 of QS World University Ranking.

IIT Bombay continues to be the highest-ranked Indian university in the QS world university rankings list, situated at the 177th position even though it fell five spots from last year's rankings.

IIT Bombay grabbed the best ever 49th rank whereas IIT Delhi closely followed its Delhi counterpart and stood at rank 54th in the ranking.
