US software giant Microsoft has launched Windows Vista in Amharic, the first operating system in the national language of Ethiopia, the official news agency said Saturday.

The Local Language Program already has resulted in a Hindi version of Microsoft's software, and there are plans to make Windows available in 13 more languages spoken in India.
