Disney's "Lilo & Stitch" remake is flawed but sweet, with great performances by Maia Kealoha, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, and Stitch himself.

I sound like a broken record; whenever I review these Disney remakes, I say they’re an unnecessary cash grab. Even if I like the film, as I did with “ The Little Mermaid ,” I still conclude that corporate greed is the sole reason for its existence.

Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, releasing in theaters nationwide on May 23, is a warm and heartfelt movie that’s an excellent watch for the entire family. While younger viewers will enjoy seeing the genuine and sweet interactions between Lilo Pelekai (Maia Kealoha) and Stitch (voiced by Chris Sanders),
