The Kyle Gibson era in Baltimore didn't last long. The Orioles announced Sunday that they've designated the starting pitcher for assignment, just four starts into his Baltimore tenure after signing a one-year, $5.2 million deal with the team in the offseason.
Tony Mansolino carried his own lineup card to home plate this afternoon, decked out in orange from chest to ankles. His first game as a major league manager, and the Orioles put him in an alternate uniform from the early ‘70s.
The Baltimore Orioles are struggling with their pitching in a big way this season and they could find their pitching savior in a trade.
