The FIA have confirmed the outcome of this inspection on the Thursday ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, and found that all components were in conformance with the technical regulati

"Following recent discussions in the F1 Commission, a specific requirement for the Monaco GP has been approved, mandating the use of at least three sets of tyres in the Race, with a minimum of two different tyre compounds to be used if it's a dry race."

Because overtaking is rare, the race can be dull. So the sport has ruled that two pit stops are now mandatory in a bid to spice things up.
