The Twins are already without a few key players: rookie infielder Luke Keaschall has been on the injured list with a fractured forearm he suffered in just his seventh big-league game and outfielder Matt Wallner has been sidelined for a month by a strained hamstring.

Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa was placed on the seven-day concussion injured list Friday, a day after he collided with center fielder Byron Buxton in pursuit of a shallow fly ball.Buxton had entered concussion protocol after Minnesota's 4-0 victory at Baltimore on Thursday and also was held out of the Twins' lineup Friday for the opener of a three-game series at Milwaukee.

Correa appeared to take the brunt of the collision on Thursday when Buxton's forehead and chin smacked into the back of his head and left shoulder, respectively. He appeared woozy but exited the field under his own power following a prolonged visit by the athletic training staff.
