Microsoft 365 Copilot in Viva Glint provides AI-powered tools that help you understand and act on employee survey feedback. Two features work together to move you from data to action:
Copilot Highlights automatically summarizes your quantitative survey results, including scores, trends, team differences, and top opportunities, in a card at the top of supported reports. Comment summarization helps you explore qualitative feedback through prompts and chat, identifying themes and patterns across employee comments.
Copilot in Viva Glint is available for admins, HR leaders, organizational leaders, and managers whose teams meet the threshold for survey results.
Copilot features in Viva Glint
Copilot Highlights
Copilot Highlights generates structured summaries of your survey results directly within Viva Glint reports. A collapsible card appears at the top of supported reports (Team Summary and Executive Summary) and surfaces key insights at a glance, with no prompts needed.
Copilot Highlights may include up to three sections:
- Overview and key outcomes – Response rate, key outcome score, and top strengths
- Team scores – Breakdown by hierarchy or attribute, largest increases and decreases, and highest and lowest scoring teams
- Your top opportunities – Up to three opportunity items with scores, benchmark comparisons, and pattern classifications

Comment summarization
Comment summarization helps you explore the "why" behind your scores by analyzing open-ended employee feedback. Through an interactive chat experience, you can ask questions about your survey comments and receive AI-generated summaries grouped by themes.
With comment summarization, you can:
- Summarize comments across survey items
- Identify key themes across comments
- Summarize comments by demographics
- Identify actions employees are asking for
Comment summarization works on completed survey cycles for recurring and ad hoc programs and can process up to 8,000 comments per summary. For guidance, see How managers use Copilot in Viva Glint.
Who uses Copilot in Viva Glint
Copilot in Viva Glint is designed for multiple organizational roles:

Recommended workflow for reviewing feedback
Follow this workflow to get the most from Copilot in Viva Glint.
- Start with Copilot Highlights for the big picture-Open your Team Summary or Executive Summary report and review the Copilot Highlights card at the top. Identify where your scores are strong, where they changed, and what your top opportunities are.
- Review Strengths and Opportunities-Scroll to the Strengths and Opportunities section on your dashboard. Select one or two focus areas to explore further.
- Go deeper with comment summarization-Use the Copilot button to explore the "why" behind your scores. Ask about specific opportunity items, teams, or demographics from your Copilot Highlights to get targeted comment summaries.

Licensing and access
- A license for Viva Glint, Microsoft Viva Suite, or Microsoft Viva Workplace Analytics and Employee Feedback is required to access Copilot in Viva Glint.
- A license for Microsoft 365 Copilot isn't required to access Copilot in Viva Glint.
Copilot in Viva Glint is enabled by default. Administrators manage access through Viva Feature Access Management (VFAM) in the Microsoft 365 admin center (MAC). For setup guidance, see Manage Copilot access in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
Multilingual support
Copilot in Viva Glint supports multilingual interaction across all languages available in Viva Glint's survey and dashboard experiences, including over 60 languages. For details, see Supported languages.
Responsible AI
Copilot in Viva Glint aligns with Microsoft's AI principles. Responsible AI assessments and data security review processes are used to evaluate each feature release. This is designed to identify, assess, and reduce potential risks before features are made generally available.
