Enrolling in the first partner program

This article explains how to enroll in the Microsoft AI Cloud partner program (MAICPP) and the next best actions required to enroll successfully and become productive quickly.

Explore opportunities to partner with Microsoft and start your partner journey by enrolling in the Microsoft AI Cloud partner program (MAICPP).

Note

Enrollment in MAICPP requires acknowledgement of the MAICPP agreement. Ensure the enrollee has the authority to sign agreements on the organization’s behalf and can produce legal documents during the verification process.

Step 1 – Initiate MAICPP enrollment

Start the enrollment by selecting join the program and selecting Partner and click Next.

Step 2 - Login using existing work account or create new work account

If you already have a work account, use that to log in and continue the enrollment else click Create work account.

Note

Don't use Personal Azure free or trial accounts, Azure Government tenants, Legacy EA-only constructs, or Microsoft Accounts (MSA, Hotmail, or Outlook.com). Create work account sets up a tenant, an organization billing account which serves as legal entity.

Step 3 – Submit enrollment request

Use the credentials you created to sign in with work account and start the enrollment process. Select the billing account or legal entity, read the MAICPP agreement, and click enroll. For certain countries or regions, you must provide a Registration ID.

Note

Enrollee must be a Global admin to enroll in MAICPP Ensure the person enrolling in MAICPP is authorized by the organization to make business decisions on behalf of the organization.

Step 4 – Enrollment verification

Once enrollment application is submitted, Microsoft begins the verification process. Log in to Partner Center immediately after successful enrollment submission, go to Account Settings -> Legal info page to monitor the verification and provide any required inputs during this process. Set up user access for Partner Center workspaces

Partner Center is organized as workspaces and depending on the program enrollment, different workspaces are enabled. Learn about the Partner Center workspaces. Enable users in your organization with right access to the workspace through two steps,

  • Ensure they're already a member in the Microsoft Entra ID tenant via Create Users.
  • Assigning right roles to the users.

Provide your working email for receiving notifications

Partner Center sends critical notifications via emails in addition to showing them in Action Center. Provide a working email address and ensure email verification is complete. Learn about the type of notifications and how to setup email.

Understand your Partner Center identity

  • Enrolling into Microsoft AI Cloud partner program creates two Partner identities (IDs) by default – a Partner Global account (PGA) and a Partner Location account (PLA).
