How to get windows 11 to install programs on my pc

any. I even been on youtube tried several fixes they recommend, I am NOT real savvy on a PC but I been getting buy for years do ok. take instructions well. I can't even add a app to put on my start page. I have to to a search for a website and hit the link to open one. I get updates but it won't install them have gotten messages saying do not have the requirements to run windows 11, any help will be greatly appreciated.
