How do you change the color of the tabs on your classes in Teams?

All of my Teams tabs are gray, and I would like to differentiate them. How can I change the color for each Team?

As of now, after testing, I can confirm there isn't a setting that allows you to choose a custom color for each Team/class icon or tab. In Microsoft documentation Find your class team's settings in Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Support, it only lists an option to change Teams/class avatar but I can't find any notes about changing custom color in Teams/class tab.

Teams does not provide a way to change the color of each Team or channel tab individually. The available appearance options are theme-based, not per-Team color customization.

What can be changed:

In Teams, select the profile picture or Settings and more in the top-right.
Go to Settings > General.
Under Theme, select High contrast if a darker, higher-contrast view helps distinguish the interface better.

If the goal is to make tabs easier to tell apart, Teams currently keeps those colors consistent across the app rather than allowing custom tab colors.

For Teams app development scenarios, Microsoft recommends using standard Teams colors and theme tokens so apps stay consistent across light, dark, and high-contrast themes, rather than applying custom colors to large surfaces.
