Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
Hi Ivonne,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Based on my test environment, when joining a Teams meeting, the View option is still displayed and functions normally. In addition, Microsoft Teams does not provide an option to completely disable the View menu during a Teams meeting.
Could you please help check the issue by following the steps below?
- Check on Teams Web
- Does the issue also occur when you use the web version of Microsoft Teams?
- Clear the Teams Cache
- Step 1: Completely exit Microsoft Teams.
- Step 2: Press Windows + R, then enter the following path:
%userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
- Step 3: Delete all files in this folder, then restart Teams.
You can refer to the following documentation for more information:

After completing these steps, please create a test Teams meeting and check whether the View option is displayed normally again.
In addition, you may consider using the Sign Language View feature. This feature allows Teams to prioritize and prominently display interpreter videos, ensuring that interpreters remain clearly visible during meetings. Microsoft states that when Sign Language Mode is enabled, Sign Language View is added to the meeting layout options and prioritizes signers or interpreters during meetings.
To enable this feature:
- Select Settings.
- Select Accessibility.
- Turn on Sign language view.
To turn on Sign language mode during a meeting:
- Go to your meeting window and select More actions > Settings.
- Open Accessibility settings.
- Turn on Sign language mode toggle button.
- Choose your role as a signer or interpreter.
You can refer to the following documentation for more information.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.
Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.
I look forward to continuing the conversation.
