Farm Merge Valley "Sign in to Microsoft Edge" Pop-up Has No Sign-in Button

၁.JPGDear Microsoft/MSN Games Support,

I am experiencing a problem while playing Farm Merge Valley on MSN Games.

I have been playing this game on the same Windows 7 computer using Microsoft Edge for a long time without any issues.

Recently, when I open the game, a "Sign in to Microsoft Edge" pop-up appears. However, there is no "Sign in" button or any option to continue. The only available option is the Close (X) button.

Because of this, I cannot sign in and cannot continue playing the game.

I have already tried restarting the browser and computer, but the problem still persists.

I have attached a screenshot of the issue for your reference.

Please investigate this problem and let me know how to resolve it.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

Hi Asian Theological Bible Seminary of Ph.D. Program,

Thank you for sharing the details. Based on the behavior shown in the screenshot, the sign-in window appears to load but does not present the option needed to complete the Microsoft account sign-in process.

One possibility is that the game's authentication page is relying on browser components that are no longer fully supported on older operating systems. Microsoft Edge version 109 was the last version supported on Windows 7, and newer sign-in experiences may not function as expected on unsupported platforms.

As a test, try signing in to the same Microsoft account from a device running a currently supported version of Windows and then access the game again. If the sign-in prompt works there, it would help confirm whether the issue is related to the local environment rather than the account itself.

Disclaimer: Windows 7 and Microsoft Edge on Windows 7 are no longer supported. As a result, some websites, games, and account sign-in features may experience compatibility limitations.

I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.

Work through these checks in order. After each step, reopen Edge and test the Farm Merge Valley sign-in prompt again.

    1. Clear cached sign-in data in Edge.
      • Go to edge://settings/privacy.
      • Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.
      • Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
      • Set the time range to All time.
      • Select Clear now.
      • Restart Edge.
Note: clearing cookies signs out of websites.
    2. Check whether Edge has conflicting profiles or stored credentials.
      • Go to edge://settings/profiles.
      • If multiple profiles are listed, sign out of the profile with the problem and sign in again.
      • If the issue continues, remove the problematic profile, restart Edge, and create a new profile by signing in again.
      • On Windows, open Credential Manager from Control Panel.
      • Under Windows Credentials and Generic Credentials, remove entries related to MicrosoftAccount or login.microsoftonline.com.
      • Restart Edge and test again.
Caution: removing a profile deletes local browsing data for that profile, including favorites, history, and passwords that are not synced.
    3. Update Edge.
      • Go to edge://settings/help.
      • Let Edge check for and install updates.
      • Restart Edge after the update completes.
    4. Check whether browser sign-in is disabled by policy.
      • Go to edge://policy.
      • Find BrowserSignin.
      • If the value is 0, browser sign-in is disabled.
      • If that setting is present and set to 0, it must be changed by the organization that manages the device.
    5. Check Windows account integration.
      • Go to Settings > Accounts > Your info and verify the Windows account is connected.
      • If a work or school account is involved, go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school and confirm it is connected.
    6. Reset the Token Broker service.
      • Open Command Prompt as administrator.
      • Run:
             net stop TokenBroker
             net start TokenBroker

      • Restart Edge and test sign-in again.
    7. If sign-in still fails, run the Windows account troubleshooter if available.
      • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
      • Run Microsoft Account troubleshooter.
    8. Check network access to Microsoft sign-in endpoints.
      • Confirm these are reachable from the network:
        • https://login.live.com
      • If a proxy is used, check it in edge://settings/system and make sure it is not blocking those endpoints.
      • If possible, test from a different network such as a mobile hotspot.

If the issue persists, collect these details before contacting support:

    • Edge version from edge://settings/help
    • Active policies exported from edge://policy
    • Network trace from edge://net-export/
    • Identity status from edge://identity-internals/
    • Windows version from Settings > System > About
