“I recently purchased a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription from Costco. My account already shows Microsoft 365 Personal with previous redeemed codes and ‘Purchased from Apple.’ My Costco redemption is being blocked with the error ConversionBlockedSyndicated. It appears that my current 365 is version from 2016 and running Tahoe on my Mac Studio. I also have a subscription through Apple with a $0 balance. I would like to speak with someone about this issue to figure out which one I want to keep.

    Hello Reesa Tansey

The ConversionBlockedSyndicated error can occur when the Microsoft account already has a subscription managed by a third-party provider, such as Apple, which prevents another retail subscription from being redeemed.

First, sign in to your Microsoft account Services & subscriptions page and check the status and expiration date of the existing Microsoft 365 subscription. Subscriptions purchased through Apple must be managed through Apple, including cancellation, recurring billing, and refund requests.

Because you want to determine which subscription to keep and the Costco redemption is blocked, you can contact a Microsoft representative through Microsoft Support:

    1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

Provide the support representative with the error code, correlation ID, timestamp, and proof of purchase from Costco.

I hope Support can help you clarify the subscriptions and redeem the Costco purchase successfully.

    Have a nice day
