I want to learn fabric with my personal account

The"Unsupported User" error usually occurs because Microsoft Fabric expects a Microsoft Entra ID (work or school) account rather than a standard personal email account such as Outlook.com.

If you do not have a company or school email address, you can still learn and use Microsoft Fabric by creating an Azure account with your personal email and then creating a Microsoft Entra ID user for Fabric access. Microsoft provides an official walkthrough for this scenario.

Before you begin, make sure you have the required information and tools ready.

• A personal email address (for example, Outlook, Gmail, or Yahoo).
• A phone number and payment method for Azure account verification, if prompted.
• The Microsoft Authenticator app for two-factor authentication. This is optional but recommended.

Please follow the steps:

1. Sign up for a free Azure account using your personal email address: Azure free account page
2. In Azure, create a Microsoft Entra ID tenant/user: Create a user in Microsoft Entra ID
3. Sign in to Fabric using the Entra ID user account instead of your personal email directly.
4. Activate the Microsoft Fabric free trial from the Fabric portal.
