Hi we have been struggling with printing on version Version 151.0.4129.59 (Official build) (64-bit) it either keeps loading preview or the web browser keeps crashing. No matter if you reset Microsoft Edge or Repair it does not work. Will there be a fix for this issue

Hello Raynard Jansen van Rensburg (EXTERNAL),

You have already tried the usual fixes, so repeating reset or Repair is unlikely to help.

Microsoft has not yet documented this as a confirmed known issue or provided a patch date.

As a temporary workaround, press Ctrl + Shift + P to use the Windows system print dialog, or save the page as a PDF and print it outside Edge.

I would also report it through Edge > Settings and more > Help and feedback > Send feedback, with diagnostic data enabled and the affected printer model included.

There is context showing recent Edge print-related regressions and that some issues were resolved by updating Edge to a newer build. There is also context showing that when Edge print preview fails or Edge crashes during printing, the supported next steps are to retry printing, restart Edge, verify printing from other websites and other apps, and make sure Edge is up to date.

Since reset and Repair already did not help, the supported path is:

    1. Update Edge
      • Go to Settings and more > Settings > About Microsoft Edge.
      • Install any available update.
      • Context includes a reported case where a print option missing in Edge returned after updating from one build to a newer build.
    2. Check whether the issue is page-specific
      • Open a different website or online document.
      • Press Ctrl+P and try printing.
      • If other pages print, the original site may be the problem.
      • For supported pages, try Immersive Reader and print from there to remove page styling as a factor.
    3. Check whether the issue is Edge-only
      • Open Word.
      • Create a blank document.
      • Type =rand(10) and press Enter.
      • Print it.
      • If Word and other apps print normally, the issue is more likely isolated to Edge.
    4. If preview keeps loading or shows preview errors
      • Cancel the print dialog.
      • Try Ctrl+P again.
      • If that fails, fully close Edge, open a new Edge session, return to the page, and print again.
      • If needed, try Print using system dialog from the Edge print flow.
    5. Check the printer path
      • In the print dialog, select a different printer, or reselect the current printer.
      • If all non-Edge apps work but Edge does not, update the printer driver to the latest version from the printer manufacturer.
    6. If Edge is crashing during print preview
      • Close other tabs, apps, and unnecessary extensions.
      • Then retry printing.
      • Also restart the PC and test again.

On whether there will be a fix: the context does not provide a product commitment or release timeline for Version 151.0.4129.59 specifically. It does show that some print issues have been fixed in later Edge updates, so the practical action is to keep Edge updated and submit feedback from Edge with the error details, affected website or document, steps to reproduce, and printer model.

    To send feedback in Edge:

    • Settings and more > Help and feedback > Send feedback
