Hi All,

Since the Microsoft FastTrack migration experience has moved to the Microsoft 365 admin center, I created a new migration project using the following portal:

https://admin.cloud.microsoft/?Q=MACMigrations#/SetupGuidance/Migration

My goal is to migrate mailboxes from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.

According to the below Microsoft documentation, the Google Workspace migration supports the following data types: Is this correct documentation?

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-au/exchange/mailbox-migration/perform-g-suite-migration

  1. Mail and Rules
  2. Calendar
  3. Contacts

However, when I create a migration project in the Microsoft 365 admin center, I see the following migration options:

  1. Mail
  2. Rules
  3. Calendar
  4. Contacts
  5. Tasks
  6. Permissions/Delegation

Does the FastTrack migration support Google Tasks. i am not worried about the permissions/Delegation as i dont want to migrate.

For the Google Workspace prerequisites, I have followed these Microsoft articles and setup the prerequisites:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-au/exchange/mailbox-migration/perform-g-suite-migration

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mailbox-migration/manually-configuring-gsuite-for-migration

Can someone confirm whether these are the correct and current articles to follow for configuring Google Workspace before starting the migration?

    Hello @Glenn Maxwell,

Based on the information you provided, I understand that when creating a migration project in the Microsoft 365 admin center, you are presented with the following migration options:

    • Mail
    • Rules
    • Calendar
    • Contacts
    • Tasks
    • Permissions/Delegation

However, the current public Microsoft documentation for Google Workspace migrations does not explicitly mention support for migrating Google Tasks. As a result, there may be a discrepancy between the migration options displayed in the portal and the information currently available in Microsoft documentation. In some cases, Microsoft documentation may take additional time to be updated following product changes, feature releases, or enhancements.

If you would like confirmation on whether Google Tasks are currently supported by the FastTrack migration service, as well as verification that the prerequisite documentation is the most current guidance available, I would recommend contacting Microsoft Support or the FastTrack Migration team directly. They can provide authoritative confirmation on supported migration workloads, assist with migration planning, and help troubleshoot any issues encountered during the migration process. To reach out to Microsoft Support team, you can follow this documentation: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
