Why are some Copilot Studio Session Transcript responses hidden as "Agent response is hidden due to sensitive content" while others are visible?

Based on the current documentation, I believe this is expected behavior rather than a recent regression.

Microsoft states that when SharePoint is used as a knowledge source, conversation transcripts include the user's question and the retrieved SharePoint content (search_results), but the generated answer itself is not stored and is marked as REDACTED.

Because of that, if your agent is answering from SharePoint knowledge, it's expected that the user receives the full response in Teams or Microsoft 365 Copilot, while the stored transcript does not include the generated answer. Depending on where you're viewing the transcript, this may appear as "Agent response is hidden due to sensitive content."

Regarding the mixed behavior you're seeing, some responses visible and others hidden within the same session, it appears that the redaction is applied on a per-response basis rather than to the entire conversation. For example, if only some turns use SharePoint knowledge while others come from authored topics, system messages, or other sources, it's possible for a single transcript to contain both visible and hidden responses.

I haven't found any announcement describing a recent platform change that altered this behavior, although it's possible the rollout has become more noticeable recently.

As for viewing the complete responses, based on the current documentation I don't believe there is another supported administrator option to retrieve the unredacted generated answers. Whether you download transcripts from Copilot Studio Analytics or access the Dataverse ConversationTranscript table, the same redaction behavior applies for SharePoint-backed generative answers. I also haven't found any documented API or export mechanism that exposes the hidden responses for auditing or troubleshooting. If retaining the complete generated responses is a requirement for your organization, it may be worth opening a Microsoft support case to see whether there are any planned enhancements or alternative solutions.
