Controlling settings, permissions, and membership within Teams and channels
Dear @Johannes Kingma,
Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!
Based on your description, I understand that you're trying to add the team's SharePoint Documents library as a folder in a Microsoft Teams channel. When you select the Dokumente (Documents) library and click Bestätigen (Confirm), nothing happens, no error message appears, and the folder is not added.Regarding this situation, I was able to reproduce the issue in a test Team and Channel. I created a separate SharePoint document library and attempted to add it through Add Document Library in Teams.
During testing using Teams on the web, I observed behavior similar to what you described:
- After selecting the library and clicking Confirm, the button appeared to process the request but did not complete successfully.
- No error message was displayed.
- Repeatedly clicking Confirm resulted in the same behavior.
- The dialog remained open and appeared unresponsive, making it appear as though the action had not been completed.
However, when I clicked Back and returned to the previous screen, I noticed that the selected document library had actually been added to the channel despite the lack of any success message or visual confirmation.
Based on this testing, it appears that the document library addition may be completing successfully in the background, while the Teams interface is not properly refreshing or providing confirmation that the operation succeeded.
Could you please check whether the library appears in the channel after navigating back or refreshing the Teams on the web? This will help me know whether the issue is related to the user interface not updating correctly or whether the library is genuinely failing to be added.
Thank you for your kindness and understanding!
