Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Dear @Eva Attungana
The error 0x8004011D ("The server isn't available") usually indicates that Outlook is unable to connect to the mail server, preventing emails from being sent or received.
First of all, here are some troubleshooting steps I recommend you try:
Step 1. Verify Internet Connection
Open a website in your browser > If you're on a VPN, disconnect temporarily and test Outlook again.
Step 2. Check Outlook Connection Status
- Look at the bottom-right corner of the Outlook window > Click on the connection icon to see a brief status message.
- Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard > Right-click the status bar icon > Select “Connection Status” from the menu that appears > Check if connections show Established or Connected. If all entries show Disconnected or Trying to Connect, Outlook cannot reach the server.
Step 3. Work Offline Check
Open Outlook > Go to Send/Receive tab > Make sure Work Offline is not enabled.
Step 4. Restart Outlook and Windows
Close Outlook completely > Reboot the computer > Open Outlook again.
Step 5. Recreate Outlook Profile
Set the new profile as default and test. For more information, please refer to Create an Outlook profile
Step 6. Repair Office
Open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Outlook > click on ... > Advanced options > Repair and then Reset.
Open Credential Manager > Remove Outlook/Microsoft 365-related credentials > Reopen Outlook and sign in again. For reference: Credential Manager in Windows
I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.
